Actress

D’Andra Simmons has been acting, singing and dancing since she was 5 years old. She began performing on stage at a very young age and loved to entertain. As a teenager, she performed on stage at Casa Manana Theater in Ft. Worth. Since that time, she has starred and acted in in several TV shows, films and theater productions, plus hosted many shows on live and taped media including her own podcast, “I Don’t Give a Rip”, which was in the top 1% of comedy podcasts.

Simmons’ recent acting credits include, “Post Oak” and “Michael Symon’s BBQ USA” a Reality TV show series on The Food Network, where she was a food judge, in 2024, “My Daughter’s Deadly Roommates” for the Lifetime network and “Dance” a feature film directed by Brett Bentman of B22 Films in 2023. In 2022, she starred in “My Dear”, a feature film directed by Greg Ellis. 

 

She is the lead female actress in the upcoming film “Daring Greatly”, the true story of the most notorious serial killer in Toronto. In addition, she is set to star in the “The Veteran” as a host, and as an actress in “The Cynthia Ann Story” (working title) a film about the love story between Cynthia Ann Parker and Quanah Parker. She will be back onstage in the “Designing Women” remake in 2025 in Dallas, reprising the role of Suzanne Sugarbaker, a role originally penned by Delta Burke. D’Andra has been in several commercials for Choctaw Casinos, Peacock TV and other national brands, and is one of the stars of the hit BRAVO TV series, “The Real Housewives of Dallas”.
